‘More to come’… Pundit says £30m Arsenal player is not as good as he could be

Martin Odegaard is undoubtedly one of the very best midfielders in the world these days.

The Norwegian has been utterly incredible for Arsenal over the past 18 months, and he’s undoubtedly a world-class player.

However, the scary thing is that there could still be more to come from Odegaard.

Indeed, the Norwegian is only 25 years old, and as he continues to grow in his role as the Arsenal captain, he could get even better.

Speaking on The Highbury Squad YouTube channel, David Hillier has been discussing Odegaard’s abilities, and he says that he thinks Odegaard can still move to another level.

Martin Odegaard can get even better

Hillier spoke about the £30m man.

“It’s difficult. I think he has more to come. I don’t think he’s as good as he could be. De Bruyne has been as good as he can be and he’s plateaued now, but I think Odegaard can get better as well. At Arsenal he’s as important now as De Bruyne was during their championship wins. He’s right up there and has more to come,” Hillier said.

Incredible

Odegaard is already one of the best players in the world, and if he shifts up another gear we could be looking at a truly incredible player here.

Make no mistake about it, Odegaard is already in that world-class bracket, and if he does hit new heights next season, he will be in the Ballon d’Or conversation.

Odegaard certainly does have room to grow. He’s been one of the Premier League’s best attacking midfielders all season despite not having a prolific striker playing in front of him, and if Arsenal can sign that 30-goal-a-season centre-forward this summer, Odegaard’s creativity and assist numbers may well skyrocket.

When all is said and done, Odegaard could end up being one of Arsenal’s greatest players.
