‘More to come’: Gareth Bale promises Tottenham fans he’s not at his best quite yet

Tottenham star, Gareth Bale, has vowed to improve further and insisted there ‘is more to come’ from him ahead of the return from international football.

Bale, who is back with Spurs on loan from Real Madrid, has featured for Wales in the last few weeks, getting some much needed game time in his legs. And with no injury picked up, Jose Mourinho will be pleased to see the forward getting up to speed.

And Bale, who could yet stay beyond this season and scored the winning goal against Brighton a few weeks ago, has promised Tottenham fans that there is more to come from him.

“I feel very happy and I have settled in very well at Tottenham. Coming back to a place where you feel loved gives to you the hunger to go again and to play for your fans who you know support you so much,” Bale said. (Football 365)

“It’s nice to be back playing and nice to be where I’m wanted. I feel I’m in a good place but there is still more to come, more to improve, and I’m looking forward to it.”

The Welshman has slowly worked his way into the first XI under Jose Mourinho. Bale’s return has given Tottenham a fearsome front three, with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son starting the campaign in lethal form.

He laid on the winner for David Brooks last week as Wales saw off Ireland, a further sign that he is approaching his best form.

Tottenham’s front three, when all fit and firing, will take some stopping. Bale is still a world-class talent and simply compliments the likes of Son and Kane perfectly.

The fact he believes he has even more to offer suggests Spurs fans could be in for a treat soon. Furthermore, his admission that he feels happy and loved again is a positive sign.

If Bale can get to his best, then the title could very much be within reach for Tottenham.
