‘Money for Haaland’: Manchester City fans react as Angelino joins RB Leipzig

Manchester City defender Angelino will complete a permanent move to RB Leipzig in the summer, after hitting a milestone which sees the German side pay around £16m for him.

The defender never really got much of a chance at City under Pep Guardiola but has excelled in the Bundesliga and will not complete a switch to Leipzig in the summer.

City have opted to go with the likes of Zinchenko and Mendy at left-back in recent times, while Joao Cancelo can also step in there if needed for Guardiola.

However, the £16m fee has got some City fans talking on Twitter, with some believing the club are freeing up funds to make a run at a big striker in the summer, namely, Erling Haaland. And while some City fans think Angelino could have done a job at the club, the thought of Haaland coming is a common one judging by fans’ reactions on Twitter.
