Tottenham Hotspur outcast Georges-Kevin N’Koudou seems to be on the verge of sealing a deadline day loan exit.
According to BBC Sport, N’Koudou is poised to join Monaco on loan until the end of the season, subject to a medical.
N’Koudou’s time at Tottenham has been disappointing since his £11m (ESPN) move from Marseille in summer 2016.
The speedy winger has played 26 times in total for Spurs, scoring just the one goal. He was recently called back into the side amid an attacking injury crisis.
But with Son Heung-Min back, N’Koudou is surplus to requirements again and he is unlikely to add to his three outings in a Spurs shirt this season.
The 23-year-old previously spent time out on loan at Burnley and for the second successive January window, he looks like he is heading for a temporary exit.
The former France under-21 international is returning to Ligue 1 and this is surely his last chance to prove to Spurs that he is worth keeping.
Time is running out for him to make his name at Tottenham but an impressive stint with Monaco could change Mauricio Pochettino’s mind as he makes his long-term plans.
If N’Koudou can rediscover his touch with goals and assists, then Tottenham might be tempted to keep him.
