Moise Kean rejected Arsenal in favour of a big-money switch to Everton, according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian teen sensation is set to join the Toffees in a deal worth £36 million later this week.

Unai Emery was keen for the Gunners to sabotage the deal. Kean, however, wasn’t convinced when Arsenal couldn’t guarantee him first-team football.

Alexander Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are the two strikers in place at the Emirates and Kean would have competed with the duo.

The need for strikers at Everton is far higher and Kean hopes he can emulate the likes of Romelu Lukaku, who shone at Goodison Park.

Kean will earn £53,000-a-week at Goodison Park, according to The Guardian.

TBR Verdict

Arsenal supporters won’t be overly alarmed that they have missed out on Kean.

If there is one area on the pitch that they don’t need to strengthen it is up front.

Lacazette and Aubameyang were lethal together last season and it is easy to see why first-team football couldn’t be guaranteed.

Kean should excel at Everton.

The Gunners’ loss is certainly Marco Silva’s gain. If he is willing to hand Kean the chance to become the first-choice striker then he may have hit the jackpot.

The key to his success will 100% be game time. If the Toffees stick by him as he adapts to the Premier League then they could have secured one of the signings of the summer.
