Mohamed Elneny has shared – in comments reported by Football London – the lengths Alexandre Lacazette goes to to improve, as he was asked whether his Arsenal teammate gets unfairly criticised.
It has been an interesting season for Lacazette. The Frenchman seems to be a divisive figure amongst supporters.

He actually tops the Gunners’ goalscoring charts in the Premier League, with his North London Derby winner proving to be his 10th of the season.
But it appears that some fans feel that he should have scored considerably more.

Elneny was asked about whether some are too harsh on the 29-year-old, and he outlined just how hard the forward works on his game.
“He’s an amazing player for us,” he said, as reported by Football London. “He’s scored so many goals for the team. He’s an amazing player and loves to score. He always trains after training for finishing.”
TBR View: Lacazette decision likely to divide fans
Interestingly, it would appear that Lacazette may actually be performing better than expected. According to FBRef, his expected goals for this season is eight, so he is doing well on that front.
He is also proving to be the most lethal finisher in Mikel Arteta’s side. He currently averages around a goal every five attempts (0.21 goals per shot).
Arsenal are in a difficult position with Lacazette. With his contract up next summer (via Football London), they will have to consider selling him in the coming months if they do not plan to offer him fresh terms.
It remains to be seen what the Gunners ultimately decide to do, but whatever happens, it is likely to be a decision that splits the supporters.
