Celtic face a battle to hold onto captain Scott Brown, according to the latest reports in Scotland.

As per The Scottish Sun, Brown is wanted by two clubs in the United States and the MLS will surely be an appealing prospect for the midfielder.

Many players end their careers with one last pay day in America and with an offer from Australia as well, Brown has options on the table.

Kansas City, Minnesota United and Western Melbourne FC are all keen on Brown and this needs to prompt Celtic into action.

The skipper leads from the front on the field, showing plenty of passion in every performance he delivers.

And Brown also plays a major role in mentoring and nurturing the younger players who are coming through at Celtic Park.

Brendan Rodgers will be keen to keep Brown, who still gets into the ideal starting line-up when fully fit.

But with options on the table and his 34th birthday approaching in June, Brown will be considering his future.

This is why Celtic need to rush through a contract for the former Scotland international and ensure he stays for at least one more year.
