MK Dons boss Russell Martin has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno was very complimentary after last night’s game in an interview with his side’s official website.
Big praise
Tottenham ran out 3-1 winners over MK Dons last night, as they continued their unbeaten run in pre-season.
MK Dons did manage to cause Spurs some problems, with their possession based style though.
And Nuno was full of compliments for the League One side at full-time.
“I really liked it. I really liked loads of stuff,” he said. “It was great feedback for them. Their manager came up and said that he really enjoyed the way we tried to play and the way we tried to do things.”
Nuno’s unbeaten start
Martin also had high praise for Spurs after the match, after watching the threat that their attacking players pose.

“Playing against some real top opposition. If you look at what they had all over the pitch, but especially at the top end of the pitch, fortunately we won’t have to face that every week or that athleticism.”
Tottenham scored their goals through familiar faces last night, with Dele Alli, Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura all hitting the back of the net.
Spurs’ pre-season is now about to ramp up, with some tough games on the horizon.
Tottenham are set to take on Chelsea and Arsenal and while both games are billed as friendly matches, there will be pressure on to impress.
