Liverpool appear to be closing in on their second signing of the summer transfer window.
Indeed, Jeremie Frimpong has already signed for Liverpool, and the next arrival could be just around the corner.
Florian Wirtz looks set to join Liverpool, while Milos Kerkez is also close to joining the Reds.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Lewis Steele has been discussing the imminent arrival of Milos Kerkez at Liverpool, and he says he’s been told something interesting from a source close to the player.
According to Steele, Kerkez should improve massively at Liverpool due to the internal competition that he has with Andy Robertson in at the left-back slot.

Milos Kerkez will improve because of Andy Robertson
Steele shared what he’s been told about Kerkez and how he will fare when he arrives at Anfield.
According to the journalist, sources close to Kerkez believe that he will improve at Liverpool due to the fact he’ll have to compete with Robertson for a starting spot.
Robertson has been criticised a lot this season, but he won’t be giving up his place in the starting XI without a fight.
“I was speaking to someone who knows Kerkez well today and he says basically that the fact he has Andy Robertson there to compete with will just raise him to the next level,” Steele said.
Andy Robertson compared to Milos Kerkez
For the first time in a while, Liverpool will have some true internal competition at left-back.
Yes, Kostas Tsimikas is also at Anfield, but Andy Robertson was always the concrete first-choice.
Now, once Kerkez signs, Arne Slot will have a tough call to make on a weekly basis, and it will be interesting to see who gets the nod for the start of the season.
Statistically, one would suggest that Kerkez is outperforming Robertson at the moment.
| Milos Kerkez | Andy Robertson | |
| 38 | Games | 33 |
| 2 | Goals | 0 |
| 5 | Assists | 1 |
| 1.4 | Tackles per game | 1.2 |
| 1.2 | Interceptions per game | 0.6 |
| 0.9 | Key passes per game | 1.2 |
| 1 | Crosses per game | 1 |
Robertson may well be phased out of the Liverpool team once Kerkez arrives, and if this is to be the end of Robertson as a starter at Liverpool, you have to say he’s been an incredible servant.
At just £8m, Robertson has to be considered one of the best signings in Liverpool’s modern history.
