Mikel Oyarzabal the perfect option to suit Everton’s transfer desire

Everton’s plans for the remainder of the transfer market have been detailed in The Telegraph this week.

It is reported that Everton are seeking a left-footed midfielder in attack this summer.

Plenty of names have already been sporadically linked with the Toffees in recent months. David Neres, Malcom and Cengiz Under are all left-footed wingers who could make an impact at Goodison Park.

However, Everton should consider an ambitious move for Spanish international Mikel Oyarzabal.

Oyarzabal was in fine form for the Spanish under-21s this summer. The 22-year-old shone as his nation won the competition in Italy.

That came off the back of a successful season with Real Sociedad. Oyarzabal scored 14 times and finished the season as captain of the Basque club.

Such form also saw the youngster recalled to the senior Spain set-up. He went on to score his first goal as Spain defeated Sweden 3-0 last month.

His price-tag would undoubtedly be an issue. As reported by Sport, his current buy-out clause is in the region of €70 million (£62.7 million).

But Everton could easily try and bring that price down and Oyarzabal could very well be a player worth breaking their transfer record for.

If the Toffees want to show ambition, then Oyarzabal is the left-footed winger for them.
