Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on Chelsea and boss Thomas Tuchel ahead of tomorrow night’s clash between the two teams at Stamford Bridge, during an interview with Football London.
The Blues incumbent has enjoyed a dream start to life in West London. He has helped the club into the FA Cup Final, whilst their win over Real Madrid has earned them a place in the Champions League Final too.
Arteta’s team have suffered contrasting fortunes of late. The Gunners were knocked out of the Europa League by Villarreal and currently sit ninth in the Premier League.

Ahead of tomorrow’s massive London derby, Arteta has reserved praise for Chelsea – and in particular their new manager.
He told Football London: “They’ve probably been the best team in the league in the last few months. What Thomas has been able to do since he arrived has been exceptional.
“He put the team in two finals, the way the team is looking, how solid they are defensively as well, how composed and regular they have been in their performance has been excellent.”

Chelsea are a different animal compared to the last time the teams met. On that occasion, Arsenal ran out 3-1 winners to push Frank Lampard closer to the sack.
The Blues under Tuchel will represent a different proposition, however. The game will throw up a really stern test for the Gunners and they’ll need to be at their very best.

Arteta is still getting to grips with life as a manager. It’s fair to say the jury remains out and he must try and finish the season with a flourish to try and thrust Arsenal up the league.
Sunday’s win over West Brom should give the team confidence and it’ll be interesting to see how tomorrow’s clash pans out.
