Mikel Arteta has raved about the quality of Arsenal ace Alexandre Lacazette, who he feels has been in excellent form during 2021.
Lacazette, 29, is a Gunners centre-forward that is one of the more senior members of the squad at the Emirates Stadium.
He’s not always a nailed-on starter for the north London club, but has scored 13 goals in 34 games across all competitions so far this season.
The French attacker netted three goals in the previous four Premier League games before the international break, so it’ll be interesting to see if he can continue in the same vein of form when they return to action on Saturday against Liverpool.
Arteta has highlighted Lacazette’s work rate as a “phenomenal” part of his game.
“I think he’s been really good. I think he’s been in really good form for months now. I think he’s sustaining that level. He’s scoring goals and he’s providing the team with something different as well. His work rate has been phenomenal and it’s what we want,” Arteta said, as quoted by Football London.

TBR’s View:
The dynamic of the team looks better when Arsenal have frontman Lacazette leading the line, with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka working off of him from the wings.
It will be interesting to see now how Arteta uses his squad during April.
There are big Premier League games coming, but arguably the Europa League two-legged tie with Slavia Prague is far more important, as it’s the more realistic route of getting Arsenal back in the Champions League competition next season.
The starting XI on Saturday could give some indication into the side that will play Slavia Prague in the first leg next Thursday.
