Martin Odegaard suffered another injury setback during Arsenal’s victory against West Ham United.
Odegaard was forced off during the first half at the Emirates after seemingly hurting his left knee.
Despite an attempt to play on after receiving treatment, the Arsenal captain had to make way, handing Mikel Arteta a potential selection headache.
Replaced by Martin Zubimendi in midfield, the Norwegian became the first player in Premier League history to be substituted before half-time in three consecutive top-flight starts.

Mikel Arteta provides Martin Odegaard update
Speaking post-match, Arteta delivered an update on Martin Odegaard’s fitness.
He said: “So unlucky again. He went knee to knee and felt straight away something was not right. Let’s assess him and see how bad the injury is. He has been very, very unlucky.”
Arteta also revealed Odegaard had a brace on his knee, and he could now undergo a scan in the coming days to determine the exact extent of the injury.
Arsenal do not have a match until they play Fulham on October 18 after the international break, and it has not yet been determined whether their skipper will be available.

Martin Odegaard’s injury nightmare this season
Odegaard has endured a stop-start campaign, having been taken off early against Leeds United in August and forced off in only the 18th minute against Nottingham Forest.
He also missed out entirely on the draw with Manchester City last month due to a shoulder problem.
Arteta’s list of absentees has quickly mounted up this season, with Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz both out of action for the long term.
Bukayo Saka and William Saliba have also missed games through injury, while Piero Hincapie is currently not available due to a groin issue.
