'It's just phenomenal what he’s doing': Mikel Arteta says he's been completely blown away by Arsenal man
Mikel Arteta has signed a new contract with Arsenal, alongside Arsenal Women’s coach Jonas Eidevall.
The Gunners pair have put to pen to paper on fresh terms at The Emirates to prolong their stays in North London and continue the good work already under way. Arteta, as we know, has been leading the charge for the men’s team and the Gunners are well in the mix to make the top four. Eidevall, meanwhile, is well-respected at the club for his excellent work with the women’s team.
And after signing his new contract, Arteta had some kind words for Eidevall, as he praised him to doing the business on the women’s side of the game at the club.

“Very much, I think when you get to know him as well, you get a sense of the human being there. Obviously what’s he doing with the team, the way the team is playing, what they are achieving, it’s just phenomenal what he’s doing, so I’m really happy for him as well to continue our journey together,” Arteta said after signing his new contract.
Eidevall has led his team to within touching distance of winning the FA WSL title. Arsenal sit just a point behind Chelsea in the table, with just a a single game left to play.
TBR’s View: Arsenal Looking To Set A Culture At The Club
This is a step in the right direction for Arsenal and shows the club has a vision to take both the men’s and women’s teams in the same direction.
Both Arteta and Eidevall are well liked at the club and the work they’ve both done so far has been excellent. It very much seems like the club are all in on the pair, and this is a sign of that.
Should Arsenal Women win the league and the men’s team make the top four, then both Arteta and Eidevall can consider it a job well done.
