Mikel Arteta labels Kieran Tierney a role medal for Arsenal teammates
Mikel Arteta has lauded Kieran Tierney, in comments reported by Football London, and suggested that he is a role model for all of his Arsenal teammates.
Tierney looks to be well on his way to proving to be an outstanding signing for the Gunners. He has struggled with injury at times during his first season at the Emirates.

But he has shown since returning to the team that he has the ability to play in the Premier League. And his attitude and work-rate have seen the left-back attract a number of plaudits from the supporters.
And Arteta shared just how impressed he has been with Tierney since he returned to North London earlier this season.

“I think I can talk with all the staff, we are all delighted with him. He’s a joy of a kid,” he said, as reported by Football London.
“He’s always willing to do more, he always wants to train harder, always pushing himself more. He had some difficult moments since he joined but hopefully now he feels that we really like him, really support him and really appreciate everything he’s doing since we joined.
“So for me he’s a player who’s a really good role model for any other player in the squad.”
TBR View: Tierney has potential to be a key man for years to come
It is almost remarkable to think that the 23-year-old has only made 21 appearances in all competitions since arriving.
Of course, his luck with injuries has been well-documented. But he has bounced back superbly and now feels like a hugely important player in Arteta’s ranks.
He can therefore, target becoming a key man for the Gunners in the coming years. It would certainly come as no surprise to supporters if he manages to step up another level from next season.
