Mikel Arteta has been asked in his latest press conference whether he expects Manchester City to make a move for Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
It has been a turbulent time for Aubameyang. Since signing his new contract last summer, he has struggled to live up to expectations.

His form has often been a disappointment. And he has, unfortunately, endured some spells on the sidelines.
Recent reports claimed that Arsenal would listen to offers for the Gabon international. And it was subsequently claimed by ESPN that Manchester City could consider making an offer should they miss out on Harry Kane.
Of course, Kane will now stay with Spurs. So some may have been wondering whether that would open the door for City to target Aubameyang.

But when asked about the speculation, Arteta issued a clear response.
“I don’t know,” he said, as reported by Arsenal’s official website, when asked whether Manchester City may make a move. “He is our player and he will remain here.”
Aubameyang has the ability to inspire turnaround at Arsenal as Arteta addresses Manchester City links
Aubameyang reminded Arsenal fans this week what he is capable of. He scored an excellent hat-trick in the Carabao Cup win at West Brom.
He is the kind of player who could inspire a much-needed turnaround at the Emirates.
When he is at his best, he is one of the best players in the Premier League. It must not be forgotten what a statement it seemed to be when Arsenal announced his new deal.
And the links with Manchester City highlight that he still has plenty more to offer.
It looks like Arsenal will be the beneficiaries if Aubameyang does rediscover his best form.
