Mikel Arteta has admitted that the consistency that Bukayo Saka has shown since breaking into the Arsenal first-team is very unusual, as he lauded the youngster for getting better and better – in comments reported by the club’s official website.
Saka has been a revelation since his senior debut. He reached double figures for assists in all competitions last season.

And this season, he has already scored five times in the Premier League. Only Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have found the back of the net more often.
Arsenal supporters would be forgiven for frequently having to remind themselves that Saka is still a teenager. It is frightening to think about how good he could become.

Arteta made an exciting claim about Saka’s development. And the Gunners boss was then asked whether his consistency is unusual for a player of his age.
“I think he’s getting better and better, his performance levels have been really consistent, so that makes him for sure one of the most important players in recent months,” he said, as reported by the club’s official website.
“It is very unusual but he’s been doing a lot of unusual things. He’s dealing with things at his age in a very unusual way, but that’s why he’s showing what he’s showing, because his maturity is above his age and so is his intelligence as well.”
TBR View: Saka the jewel in Arsenal’s crown
It is players such as Saka – who earns around £40,000-a-week, according to the Daily Mail – who leave Arsenal fans with reason for optimism. It has been a difficult few years for the club. But they have a cluster of talented youngsters who appear to have incredible potential.
The likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe and Kieran Tierney could be stalwarts for years to come. But it is Saka who looks to be the jewel in the crown.
