Mikel Arteta has called up a left-back from Arsenal’s academy to first-team training ahead of tonight’s clash against Luton Town.

Arsenal will be hoping to build in a positive result at Manchester City with a win over Luton this evening.

With nine games left to play, every fixture will feel like a must-win for Mikel Arteta’s side as they bid to secure a Premier League title.

The goalless draw at the Etihad Stadium leaves the Gunners two points behind league leaders Liverpool and a point above City.

Picking up a win at home to Luton will be a must for Arsenal this evening as they bid to keep pace with Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s side.

Arteta has been putting his players through their paces at London Colney this week following a testing 90 minutes in Manchester on Sunday.

And the Spaniard has called up a host of youngsters to first-team training to help his players prepare for Luton.

Quesada-Thorn spotted in first-team training

Elian Quesada-Thorn was spotted amongst a host of academy players in first-team training yesterday.

According to Jeorge Bird’s Arsenal Youth, Quesada-Thorn, Ayden Heaven, Ismail Oulad M’Hand, Harrison Dudziak, Amario Cozier-Duberry, Mauro Bandeira and Reuell Walters were all involved in training on Tuesday.

Quesada-Thorn operates as a left-back and has racked up a total of 22 appearances for Arsenal’s academy sides.

The 19-year-old has been described as a ‘fine crosser of the ball’ by Arsenal’s official website after signing his first contract with the club last year.

Arteta set to make changes as Arsenal host Luton?

Many are wondering whether Arteta will take an opportunity to rest some of his key players tonight.

Bukayo Saka was forced off with an injury in the draw at City but looks set to be ready to feature at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

Elsewhere, Thomas Partey is also pushing for a start after impressing from the bench against City over the weekend.

But Arteta will be wary of making too many changes to his starting XI given the importance of each game from here on out.
