Mikel Arteta has issued an intriguing response after being asked how many more signings he wants brought in at Arsenal this summer – as reported by Football London.
It has been an interesting window for the Gunners so far. Much was promised after a largely dismal campaign last time out.

And there have been signings. Ben White and Albert Sambi Lokonga look to be smart additions. Meanwhile, Nuno Tavares could also have a bright future ahead.
But there are still major concerns about the squad in certain areas. And the Gunners have struggled to offload a lot of their fringe players.
Fans will be hoping that it is a busy few weeks for Arteta and Edu. And ahead of Friday’s clash with Brentford, the Spaniard was asked about how many more players he would like brought in.

Perhaps however, his answer may not be what the supporters would like to hear.
“I’m willing to work with the players that I have at the moment and get the best out of them. We will see what we can do,” he said, as reported by Football London, when asked how many more signings he wants.
Arteta reply likely to worry Arsenal fans craving further signings
Of course, Arteta was never going to claim Arsenal need three or four new players. That is hardly the best thing to say so close to the opening game of the season.
But his comments could hint that there is an acceptance on his part that any significant overhaul in the remaining weeks of the window is off the cards.
Obviously he will have a much better idea of what is going on behind the scenes. And it may be that changes are indeed on the horizon.
However, the fans arguably need more at this stage. There are worries about what may be in store this season.
And some may interpret Arteta’s comments as his way of saying that he is content with what he has.
