It is no secret that Tottenham are desperately on the look-out for attacking forces to replace the injured Harry Kane, and new reports suggest that they may turn to Atlanta United’s creative wizard Miguel Almiron.
The reports come from Argentinian newspaper Ole, cited by Sports Witness, who say that Mauricio Pochettino may be keen on the Paraguayan, though such a move must be considered a gamble.
Much like Vincent Janssen before him, a Premier League switch would see Almiron play at a much higher level than he has become accustomed to in his career to date.

Where Janssen was a prolific goalscorer in Holland, much like Almiron, who was involved in 25 goals in 32 games last season, 13 goals and 12 assists, as he led Atlanta United to glory in the MLS Cup.
At a similar age and likely for a similar price, there are plenty of similarities between them. Given the fact that he would very much be a gamble, it is hard to see him becoming Tottenham’s next signing given their reluctance to enter the market in the past two windows.
Surely, a homegrown player would be a much higher need and Pochettino may feel that he would be better of looking to a more proven and reliable option than Almiron.
