‘Might be the end of him’, ‘think he’s done’: Some Leeds fans unsure of striker’s future at Elland Road

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Kun Temenuzhkov’s loan move away from Elland Road.

On Wednesday, the Whites confirmed that the 20-year-old forward has joined Spanish Segunda Division B side Real Union on a season-long loan deal.

Temenuzhkov, who has made one senior appearance for the Whites, recently spent time on loan at fellow Spanish side CF La Nucia.

The Bulgaria Under-21 striker joined the Leeds setup from Barcelona in the summer of 2017.

A series of impressive performances with the Under-23s led to a first-team debut under Marcelo Bielsa in January 2019, featuring against QPR in the FA Cup third round.

Temenuzhkov helped Leeds win the PDL Northern League and the national Professional Development League in 2018-19 before penning a new deal in September last year.

He hasn’t exactly kicked on at first-team level, however, and following his loan spell at La Nucia, he’s now on the move again.

Some fans are concerned about Temenuzhkov’s suitability for Leeds going forward, given he’s now going to be playing for a side in the Spanish third tier:
