Aaron Tshibola has been on loan at Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock for the last 18 months from Aston Villa, but has suggested on Instagram that he is returning to the Championship side.
The 24-year-old played 43 times for Killie after first joining Steve Clarke’s side in January 2018 on a six-month loan deal. Impressing during that half-season period, he re-signed for another season on loan.
Tshibola first joined Villa for £5million (Telegraph) in the summer of 2016 as one of Roberto Di Matteo’s first signings, and flopped. He managed just 10 appearances for the Midlands outfit.
He posted an emotional message to Kilmarnock fans on Instagram after 18 months at Rugby Park, thanking the club and fans for their support. Gabriel Agbonlahor and Yannick Bolasie reacted on Instagram.

Does Tshibola have a future at Villa? Last summer, you would have said no. But now, he may just be able to earn his place back in Dean Smith’s side.
Steve Bruce gave Tshibola little chance. Now with Smith in charge, he may have the chance to prove his worth. But the fact Mile Jedinak and Glenn Whelan are in the final weeks of their contract, Tshibola has a chance.
Indeed, the midfielder has impressed so much for Killie and become a favourite with the Scottish side. Now he is set to return to Villa Park, he will be hoping to impress enough for the Midlands outfit.
