Middlesbrough are on the verge of the relegation zone after three matches. Jonathan Woodgate’s team have only picked up one point in their opening three games.
On Saturday afternoon, Middlesbrough travelled to Ewood Park and were undone by Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers team. It was a 1-0 win, courtesy of Danny Graham’s penalty.
This followed the opening day draw against Luton Town, a loss against Brentford and a cup defeat against Crewe Alexandra. The pressure is already mounting on Woodgate.
But one man provided fans with some hope after coming off the bench. Marcus Browne, who joined from West Ham in the summer, was a breath of fresh air in the second half.

The 21-year-old was introduced as a 70th-minute substitute replacing Marvin Johnson. He nearly made an immediate impact as his shot hit the woodwork. Fans now want to see him get more than 20 minutes.
Browne played on Tuesday night in the loss against Crewe Alexandra and he missed a decisive penalty. But his outfield play has impressed fans and here are some reactions after the Blackburn loss.
