Micky Hazard criticised Tottenham on Twitter after they slipped to a 2-1 away defeat at Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho’s side were beaten in the Premier League at Old Trafford, as Marcus Rashford scored twice for the hosts.

Dele Alli did score an excellent individual goal for Spurs, but apart from that the team weren’t at their fluent best going forward and looked slightly off the pace.

Mourinho had previously won three games on the spin across all competitions since replacing Mauricio Pochettino as manager, but now needs to respond to a defeat for the first time with his new group of players.

Ex-Spurs midfielder Hazard believes that his former team need to show more when travelling away to the tough grounds.

“Never really got going, just didn’t pass the ball well enough and didn’t create anything so didn’t deserve anything.  Got to be brave going to these places but we go again on Saturday,” Hazard wrote on his personal Twitter account.

TBR’s View:

Spurs have had some disappointing results on the road so far this season, but they have got a lot of tough fixtures out of the way already.

They have earned draws away to Arsenal and Manchester City, as well as losing on trips to Leicester City, Liverpool and now Manchester United.

It’s disappointing that they haven’t picked up results against the top teams in the division, but will get to host them all in the second half of the season and exact some revenge.

Nobody was being fooled by Mourinho’s winning start at Spurs and it’s clear he’s got plenty of work to do with his side, especially with the defensive unit.
