Tottenham Hotspur icon Micky Hazard has criticised the refereeing in Spurs’ draw at Everton on Saturday.
The Tottenham cult hero believes Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was being fouled during the game, and nothing was being done about it.
Tottenham twice took the lead in the day’s early Premier League kickoff, but twice they were pegged back by the hosts.

Richarlison gave Spurs the advantage after just four minutes, but Jack Harrison went on to claim an equaliser for Everton in somewhat controversial fashion.
Harrison was tasked with man-marking Vicario, and as a corner was swung in, the Tottenham keeper couldn’t parry the ball to safety as he went to ground.
James Tarkowski flicked the ball back towards centre and Dominic Calvert-Lewin was on hand to nod into the empty net, taking a touch off Harrison on the way in.
Although Richarlison put Tottenham back in front before the break, Hazard wasn’t happy with what he had seen from Everton and the officials, taking to X with his thoughts.
Tottenham must figure out how to protect Guglielmo Vicario as lightning strikes twice
Some fans agreed with Hazard’s assessment, while others did not.
Some felt Vicario should be more physical when it comes to having pressure put on him, while others felt Spurs should put a defender in between Vicario and the opposition at set pieces.
Sadly it won’t matter at this stage, as the game has been settled and Tottenham have missed out on two points. And it’s the second time in a week that this has happened to Vicario.
Just like for Nathan Ake’s late winner for Manchester City a week ago, the Spurs goalkeeper was put under pressure and the opposition has reaped some rewards.
Tottenham need to figure out a solution to this, because other teams will get savvy to it and begin targeting Vicario themselves.
