Departing Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm has made it clear that he will be looking to return to Belgium or The Netherlands this summer, with his contract at Tottenham Hotspur officially expiring today.
The Dutchman also had some fond words for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who he states is the man who brought him back to North London earlier this season.
Vorm left Tottenham on a free transfer last summer. However, when Hugo Lloris dislocated his elbow earlier this season Vorm was snapped back up to offer support.
Levy, it seems, was key to the return.

“I have always had a good relationship with him (Levy),” Vorm told Algemeen Dagblad. “He gave me a watch. Some engraving is still going on. It was also Levy who called me last season when Hugo Lloris got injured and they needed another keeper. It was great to join Spurs again.”
Vorm will no doubt have plenty of suitors, considering his history and prestige and free-agent status.
But it seems he has plans on living in the Benelux region again and raising his children there.
“When I had no club for a while at the beginning of last season and I lived in the Netherlands again, I realized that I would like to see my children grow up here,” Vorm stated. “A club in the Netherlands or Belgium would seem like something to me. There are already some contacts with clubs.”
A report from Derniere Heure in April suggested that Anderlecht were keen on bringing in Vorm this summer whilst plenty of teams in Holland would be lucky to have a player of Vorm’s calibre at the club.
Tottenham fans will just be hoping that Vorm can find somewhere where he can remain happy and maybe even get sme regular playing time going forward.
