Michel Vorm has told Stadium Astro that Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris remains one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, despite making a couple of mistakes against Manchester City on Saturday evening.
City took the lead from the penalty spot when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg felled Ilkay Gundogan, and Lloris will have been disappointed not to have kept Rodri’s penalty out – squeezing a poor effort past Lloris, who got a hand to it.
Some neat play from City inside the penalty area then saw Gundogan’s left-footed snapshot go past Lloris – this one certainly considered a mistake. Gundogan’s second was a long ball over the top, one where Tottenham’s defence were in the wrong.
Ex-Tottenham man and Lloris’ old teammate Vorm spoke of the French skipper and believes that Lloris is still one of the best – comparing him with David De Gea, Alisson and Ederson. He believes that Lloris has saved Spurs, more than let them down.
