Arsenal legend, Michael Thomas, has lauded Gunners starlet Bukayo Saka, claiming he has ‘all the ability in the world’.

Saka has had a fine season with Arsenal this term. The England man has blossomed into one of the best up and coming players in Europe, with Mikel Arteta consistently selecting him this year.

Capable of playing on both wings or as a fullback if needed, Saka has really kicked on this season under the guidance of Arteta.

And Thomas, who is known for his title-winning goal at Liverpool, believes the Gunners have one of the best talents in world football on their hands in Saka.

“He is definitely up there with the young talents that are emerging around the world. It is hard to place him but I would say Saka definitely gets a place in my top 5,” Thomas told JustArsenal in an exclusive interview.

“I want to see him replicate someone like Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho and aim for double figures every season from out wide. I think that should definitely be a target of Saka’s. He has all the ability in the world to get those numbers but he will also need the support of his teammates and the continued platform that Mikel is giving him.”

Saka has six goals and five assists in all competitions this season. He is on course for double figures, although he faces the stern test of Manchester City and their exceptional defence this weekend.

TBR View: Saka is sensational, Arsenal are very lucky to have him

The assessment from Michael Thomas here is bang on. Saka is brilliant and is rightly being compared to some of the very best in Europe.

If he continues to develop as he is and Arsenal struggle to land top four places, Saka could actually end up leaving, such is his talent.

For now, though, Arsenal will be hoping he simply continues on his fine run of form. Saka is going to be key if the Gunners are to secure a European spot this term.
