Max Dowman impressed everybody during Arsenal’s pre-season this summer.

The Gunners have been producing one incredible teenager after another over the last few years, and that’s saving them millions on the transfer market.

After the success of Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, Dowman looks like the next to break through and become a star.

What Michael Owen’s ‘sources’ have told him about Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman

Max Dowman is a superstar in the making.

The youngster, still just 15 years old, dazzled against experienced professional footballers during Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia.

Dowman made Newcastle United star Joelinton look bang average when he dribbled past him and forced him to concede a penalty.

Arsenal fans are excited to see Dowman in the Premier League and the Champions League in the upcoming campaign, and it looks like Michael Owen is looking forward to it too.

Speaking to the Premier League’s official website, the Ballon d’Or winner was asked who he thinks would be the best young player in the division in the 2025/26 season.

Owen replied: “Max Dowman! I’m joining the hype train, really, as I haven’t seen enough of him to form a strong opinion, but my sources tell me that he is a little bit special. So, I’ll follow that as opposed to my own eyes at the moment.

“We might not see him play an awful lot this season, but even glimpses of his talent would be an exciting thing.”

Arsenal’s plan for Max Dowman in the 2025/26 season

Dowman showed during pre-season that he is capable of going up against senior professionals and holding his own.

However, he is still only 15 years old, and Mikel Arteta will know that he can’t just throw him into the deep end.

TBR Football exclusively revealed that Arsenal’s plan is to ease Dowman in, which means that he will not get much first-team action in the upcoming campaign.

However, he could get a few minutes here and there to slowly build himself up to the level required to become a regular like Saka, Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri.
