Liverpool are sweating on the fitness of Mo Salah after he went off with an injury against Brighton, and Michael Owen has issued a worrying prediction on the Egyptian.
Salah left the field midway through the second half as Diogo Jota replaced him, with Salah heading straight down the tunnel, albeit not in too much obvious pain it seemed. Jurgen Klopp confirmed after the game that there was an issue with Salah’s foot and he would have to wait and see how he felt.

But while Klopp is hoping for minimal damage for Salah, former striker Michael Owen believes that the injury would worsen overnight if Salah’s luck is out.
“It’s crucial to see how he’s feeling in the morning because some of these injuries can they get way worse overnight and then they start getting better,” Owen said on Premier League productions.
“I’m trying to work out what it could be really. But he’s walked off, so hopefully nothing too bad.”
Liverpool face Arsenal in midweek before a crunch FA Cup clash with Nottingham Forest.
TBR’s View: Salah Fitness Huge For Liverpool For Run-In
Owen hints at this when chatting but having Salah fit for the tie with Arsenal is the big one. It’s a game Liverpool could genuinely lose and leave them short in the title race.
Salah’s injury doesn’t look like being massive as Owen says, but you also never know. If he’s sore, then Klopp will have to weigh up whether or not to play someone else in midweek at least.
Hopefully, for Liverpool anyway, Salah can be back up and running pretty quickly.
