Michael Owen, who played for both Liverpool and Newcastle United during his career, has already delivered a resounding verdict on Anfield target Alexander Isak.
Alexander Isak has decided that he fancies a move away from Newcastle this summer, and Liverpool are ready to swoop.
Sources have confirmed to TBR Football that Liverpool are prepared to break the British transfer record to sign Isak from Newcastle this summer.
Owen certainly knows a thing or two about playing up front, and he sang Isak’s praises midway through last season.

Michael Owen said Alexander Isak ‘could walk into any team in the Premier League’
In December last year, Isak delivered a sensational display in a 2-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Swede scored for the sixth straight Premier League match and took his tally in December to eight goals, more than any other player.
“It is a lovely feeling for a striker,” Owen said, as per the Premier League website.
“He is top class in every way. He oozes class. He is seriously good and Newcastle have done well to get him, develop him and feed him.
“He won’t be on the market but he’d be one of the most sought after players. He could walk into any team in the Premier League in that position.”
Isak has scored 54 goals in 86 Premier League appearances for Newcastle since his £63million move from Real Sociedad in August 2022 – also providing ten assists.

How much Liverpool could be willing to pay for Alexander Isak
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Liverpool are willing to spend just over £120million for Isak.
And with Isak deciding he wants a new challenge, the Magpies are now in a more difficult position than they might have been a few weeks ago.
Liverpool are in a healthy position finance-wise and compliant with PSR, so this summer is very much the perfect opportunity to strike while the iron is hot.
