Michael Owen has predicted that centre-forward Harry Kane is going to spend his entire career at Tottenham.
Aged 27, Kane has already established himself as a Spurs legend and scored 201 goals in 301 first-team games for the club since he made the step up from the academy.
The England captain is being tipped to go close to breaking Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goalscoring record and appears to be getting even better.
His form this season at Spurs has been sensational, scoring 13 goals and managing 10 assists in 14 gas across all competitions.
Despite all the individual records he’s racking up, he’s still yet to win a piece of silverware in his club career and that’s often an issue that has many neutrals discussing whether he could move elsewhere to hunt down trophies.
Ex-England and Premier League striker Owen believes though that Kane is going to see out his whole career in North London, pointing out it would take an enormous transfer fee to prize him away from Spurs.
“I can’t really see it no,” Owen responded on talkSPORT (12:27pm, 18 November), when asked if he can see Kane leaving Spurs.
“To buy him, I’m a huge Harry Kane fan, you’re talking massive, massive money. He’s in the absolute prime, most people are looking to spend £100million on 20-year-olds, 21-year-olds. There might be teams desperate for a striker. Realistically I’d say he’s a Tottenham player for life.”

TBR’s View:
With Jose Mourinho now the manager at Spurs, Kane should feel he’s got a brilliant chance of ending his trophy drought this season and the form he’s currently in is going to be pivotal to any kind of success.
There is no doubt that he’s got the top-class ability to play for any team of the world and Spurs are extremely fortunate to have him, which is why they’ll be desperate to repay his loyalty with a trophy.
Mourinho is beginning to find a much better balance in his starting XI now between attack and defence, plus it’s worth noting his side are currently just a point off the top of the Premier League table.
