Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is being linked with a summer exit. According to The Express, Lallana could return to Southampton for £13m.
The player is keen on the move for the sake of his own career. And Liverpool would accept a fee of around £13m for the midfielder, who only started five Premier League games this season.
Lallana joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2014. Since then, the 31-year-old has played over 150 games for the Reds, scoring 21 goals.
Prior to that, the 34-cap England international played over 250 games for Southampton. He scored 60 goals while he was with the south coast club.
Lallana has reportedly told friends that he would like to return to Southampton. Under Ralph Hasenhuttl, he is hoping to get his career back on track.
The creative midfielder has dropped down the pecking order at Anfield. And it appears that he does not feature in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
Liverpool fans took to social media to discuss whether to sell Lallana. Most agreed that they would snap Southampton’s hand off for £13m.
Lallana has been good at times but Liverpool could upgrade on him and his injury record is concerning. Here are some tweets from Liverpool fans discussing this.
If we get £13m for injury prone Adam Lallana, who has played 1,087 mins within 2 seasons, then Michael Edwards has done a madness.

It’s definitely the time for both parties to part ways. His injury record was the major problem and that will be off-putting to suiters but will still be a few willing to take a punt because of the quality he can produce on his day. More money into the Lfc coffers for transfers.
