Michael Dawson has told TalkSPORT (Monday, 09:19am) that he believes Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish can be the man to finally replace Christian Eriksen at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Grealish, 24, has been in stunning form for Aston Villa despite the club remaining in the relegation zone. The playmaker has had a hand in 17 goals this season – during his 38 appearances in all competitions.
Tipped to finally earn his first England cap, Grealish is expected to remain in the Premier League – even if Villa are relegated. Tottenham came within an inch of signing him in 2018, but Sky claim their £25million bid was rejected.
Ex-Spurs defender Dawson was asked by Ally McCoist if he felt Grealish could fit in a side like Tottenham, with the TalkSPORT presenter of the belief that Spurs lack a no.10. Dawson replied, stating Grealish could replace Eriksen.

“Yeah, Jack is a fantastic player,” Dawson said. “When they let Eriksen go, his head had been turned but 18 months ago he was incredible, different class, they haven’t replaced him, I love lo celso, he is incredible,” Dawson said.
