Michael Brown has told the Daily Express that he cannot say enough good things about Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips, and praised the way that he can play in so many roles across the defence and midfield.
Phillips has continued to receive plaudits this season. He is unquestionably one of the very best players in the Championship. And Leeds fans will be aware that he is likely to be playing in the Premier League next term regardless of whether Marcelo Bielsa’s side are there or not.

And his form since his return from a recent suspension has highlighted exactly why the 24-year-old is absolutely pivotal to Leeds’s fortunes.
The Whites have won four and drawn one since Phillips’s return. And he has put in a number of performances worthy of winning the man of the match award in that time.

And former Leeds midfielder Brown suggested that he could not praise the academy graduate high enough.
“He’s a fantastic player to have played so many games,” he told the Daily Express.
“He can play in a back three, back four, as a holding midfield player, an advanced midfielder, a 6, an 8, a 4.
“I can’t say enough good things about him. Long passing, he’ll mix it up, he can score a goal.
“He’s got the lot. I think he’s with a really good manager, Marcelo Bielsa, who’s improving him all the time, and that’s the type of thing you need.”
Phillips looked to have the feeling that he had a point to prove after his red card against Queens Park Rangers.
It appeared that he let frustration get the better of him at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. And it seems that he has wanted to make it up to the team ever since he came back into the side.
