Michael Beale has taken to Twitter to react to a video of Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst stopping to meet a supporter outside Ibrox before holding his first press conference as the new Gers boss.
Van Bronckhorst was unveiled on Monday after his appointment as Steven Gerrard’s successor was confirmed last week.

Of course, Gerrard left after a successful spell at Rangers. He led the Gers to the Scottish Premiership title last season.
And one of the unsung heroes of Gerrard’s tenure – amongst those not connected with Rangers anyway – was Beale.
The 41-year-old did a fantastic job as first-team coach during his time with the Gers. And it appears to be a real coup for Aston Villa to have landed Beale as part of the package as they lured Gerrard away from Ibrox.

Certainly, a look at some of the responses to his latest tweet hint that plenty of Rangers fans would love to see Beale return in some capacity at some stage in the future.
But Beale is clearly continuing to keep an eye on what is going on back at Rangers.
The coach took to social media to respond to a video showing van Bronckhorst arriving at Ibrox before the Dutchman spoke to the press for the first time since his appointment.
Ahead of going in, the 46-year-old stopped for a photo and a chat with one supporter.
And Beale expressed his delight for the fan with a classy post in response to the video…
