Michael Ball says Moise Kean should follow Richarlison’s blueprint for Everton success

Former Everton defender Michael Ball says Moise Kean needs to follow the blueprint laid down by Richarlison in order to become a success at Everton.

As per the Liverpool Echo, Ball hit out at the critics of Kean – most notably Graeme Souness – and said that the only way to shove their words down their throat is to score goals.

He said: “I’ve long felt that there was a lot of negativity regarding the Blues. It always seems as though [the media] choose to highlight the negatives and go in on them.

“For Souness to say what he did was very disappointing. He it got it wrong with his comments about Moise Kean. Kean simply has to take a leaf out of Richarlison’s book and produce on the pitch to shut the likes of Souness up. A lot was made about the Brazilian’s move to the club last summer, but he quickly shut the critics up by scoring goals.”

TBR’s View – Kean is the prolific striker Everton have lacked since Lukaku

Souness’s comments were lazy and half-baked. Everyone connected with Everton would be wise to ignore them – Kean has so much quality; when he adjusts to English football, he’ll explode.

Juventus got rid of him because he had a year left on his contract and had struggled to juggle their attacking options around the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo – that’s it.

Kean has all the quality to hit the back of the net on a regular basis in this Everton side, just like £90,000-a-week (Spotrac) star Richarlison did after his move last summer.
