Micah Richards sends six-word Instagram message to Tottenham’s Joe Hart

Joe Hart kept a clean sheet but was lucky to escape a narrow scare against non-league minnows Marine on Sunday afternoon as Tottenham Hotspur cruised to a comfortable 5-0 win – and Micah Richards has responded.

Hart, 33, made his eighth appearance for Tottenham as Jose Mourinho chopped and changed his side to face Marine – who are made up of part-timers and former Football League men. Spurs were, as expected, dominant.

Carlos Vinicius nabbed a hat-trick and Dele Alli starred, while Joe Rodon, Gedson Fernandes and Harvey White all started. Lucas Moura netted a wonderful free-kick and 16-year-old Alfie Devine scored on his debut from the bench.

Marine, though, came within an inch of taking the lead. Neil Kengni’s hit from 35 yards crashed against the bar, with Hart seemingly leaving the ball – thinking it was about to go over. Hart posted on Instagram after the match.

Hart has conceded just seven goals in the eight games he has played since joining Spurs in the summer, when he signed a two-year £52,000-a-week (Spotrac) contract with the North London club.

Responding to his post on Instagram, ex-Manchester City defender and now popular television pundit Richards told the ex-England goalkeeper how he loved to see him on the pitch.
