Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and James Milner have been described as “diamonds” by Micah Richards.
The Reds captain and vice-captain have etched their names in Anfield folklore for their heroics over the past few years.
Both have helped Liverpool win the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Supercup and Club World Cup.

It’s not just their quality on the pitch that sets them apart, however.
Both Henderson and Milner are incredibly professional in every aspect of their lives.
“People say they aren’t world class – nothing could be further from the truth”
Richards, writing in the Daily Mail, singled the Liverpool duo out for their professionalism.
The former England international was writing about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s situation at Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta stripped the striker of the captain’s armband following a disciplinary breach.
Richards also drew on his own experiences while captaining Aston Villa during his playing career.
“When Villa were fighting to stay in the top flight, I was pictured in Dubai during an international break,” wrote Richards.

“I had permission and didn’t do anything wrong while I was there, but even so, the perception the picture created was poor.
“Hindsight tells me I should never have put myself in that position — what message did it send to the rest of the squad?
“That’s what I mean about unwritten rules. You can’t put a toe, never mind a foot, out of line when you lead the group.
“Look at Jordan Henderson and James Milner at Liverpool.
“People say they aren’t world class and are boring but nothing could be further from the truth.
“They are diamonds as lads, but what makes them world class is the levels they set around the camp every single day.”
Last season was difficult for Liverpool but now they’re looking back to their very best.
And with the likes of Henderson and Milner in their ranks, the Reds can’t go wrong.
