Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has been described by Micah Richards as one of the best players he’s ever lined up alongside.
The 25-year-old continues to make waves in the English game, having helped Villa back up to the Premier League, kept them there, and is now helping them kick on.
Given Grealish’s talent, it’s unsurprising to hear him linked with other teams, whether in media reports or pundits suggesting another club should move for him.

On Sunday, a number of pundits on Sky Sports were discussing Manchester United and who they should look to sign to help them compete against Manchester City.
Grealish’s name cropped up, with Roy Keane saying the Villa ace would be “brilliant” for the Red Devils, alongside Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Richards then said: “Jack’s one of the best players I’ve ever played with – not just among the young players.
“The way he beats people, he’s not afraid of giving the ball away and his numbers have improved.
“The Villa team has got stronger, but he’s such an incredible talent and he’s an even better person as well.
“To come and fit in a dressing room at Man Utd or wherever that may be, he’s got the drive and the determination to be the best.
“There were times where he wasn’t doing much in the gym but he’s now got a lot stronger, he buys a lot of fouls, and he’s worked extremely hard in training.
“There was a little bit before about his personal life, but when it comes to football he is totally motivated to get to the best he can be.
“If he were to leave Villa, he’d be able to handle it at the highest level.”
TBR View:
It’s all well and good dreaming of Grealish joining another club, but whether this will actually happen – this summer, at least – is a different matter.
Grealish is Villa through and through, has a contract until 2025, and is one of the best players in the Premier League, so his price tag would be exorbitant for sure.
Add to that the fact that a lot of clubs may not have the funds to make huge-money signings this summer in wake of what’s happened over the past year, and it looks unlikely he’ll move anytime soon.
