Micah Richards has told Match of the Day that he thought Harry Kane had a really good game as Tottenham Hotspur drew with Southampton on Tuesday, while he expressed his bemusement at the striker’s disallowed goal during the second-half.
Antonio Conte is still awaiting his first win away from home since taking the Tottenham job. Kane cancelled out James Ward-Prowse’s opener for the home side during the first-half.

Spurs may feel desperately unlucky to have not taken three points. Kane had a second-half strike ruled out for offside. Meanwhile, Fraser Forster somehow got away with kicking the ball into the back of his own net as Matt Doherty was deemed to have fouled the goalkeeper.
Certainly, it is hard to argue with complaints over Forster being awarded a free-kick. But Richards also felt that Kane was incredibly unlucky to miss out on his second goal of the game, with the striker seemingly leaning into an offside position.

The retired defender suggested that Kane was extremely impressive in the draw, and questioned the decision to view him as being offside.
“Kane had a really good game today,” he told Match of the Day, before analysing the disallowed goal. “But this is brilliant from Kane, this is what we like to see from Kane. Don’t go deep, get over the shoulder.
“Wonderful ball from Winks, great first touch and he just tucks it away. I thought we’re not giving these decisions anymore.”
Harry Kane looking much more his old self for Tottenham following Antonio Conte appointment
Kane’s return to form is actually going somewhat under the radar. He has scored four goals in nine appearances in all competitions since Conte was appointed.
Obviously, the resurgences of players such as Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Harry Winks, and Lucas Moura have been incredibly exciting for supporters.
But Kane has been much better of late, too. He has scored in his last three Premier League games. And some clearly think it should have been four in three.
