Grealish will now head off on England duty and after being told he must perform against better opposition, Gareth Southgate will surely have a big decision to make.

The England boss has been reluctant to unleash the Villa star in a competitive game. Now, Grealish has put Liverpool and Arsenal to the sword this season and surely Three Lions stardom beckons.

After the game, Grealish shares a photo on Instagram alongside John McGinn and Ross Barkley – and former Villa player Richards took to social media to reply to the versatile player.

Richards spent four years at Villa Park but managed just 31 appearances for the club.

He enjoyed a decent career at Manchester City, helping them to their first Premier League title in 2012.

Smith chose to opt for a different policy in the transfer market during the summer.

Having gone down the quantity route in the summer of 2019, he chose to attract tried and tested British players this time around and it’s paying dividends.

Grealish is still the main man though and he’s bound to be attracting interest from plenty of top clubs in the coming years.
