Micah Richards raved about Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish after he helped his side beat Leicester City to book their spot in the Carabao Cup final.
Dean Smith’s side produced a stunning late win to beat the Foxes 2-1 on the night and secure a 3-2 aggregate scoreline over the two legs.
Matt Targett put the hosts in front with a great finish from Grealish’s pass, but the game seemed to be heading for penalties when Kelechi Iheanacho scored from close-range in the second-half.
But substitute Trezeguet netted a 93rd minute winner to spark wild celebrations at Villa Park and book a spot in a domestic cup final, where they will face either Manchester City or Manchester United.
Ex-Villa defender Richards picked out Grealish for his display against Leicester and made a comparison to former Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson.
“Jack Grealish is a special player! The best young player I’ve played with since Micheal Johnson,” Richards wrote on his personal Twitter account.

TBR’s View:
Not only did Grealish set up the opening goal with an intelligent pass in the box, but he was at the heart of nearly every Villa move and was so positive in possession.
Leicester found it extremely difficult to pin down the attacking midfielder, as he kept up popping up all over the park and especially caused damage when drifting inside from the left flank.
The 24-year-old really is in the form of his life right now and is the talisman for his boyhood club.
He’s now managed nine goals and seven assists in 26 matches across all competitions this season, which is why surely a senior call-up to the England squad has to be just around the corner.
