Micah Richards has told Sky Sports (broadcast on 13/3; 17:23) that the save from Aaron Ramsdale for Arsenal in their clash with Leicester City on Sunday was incredible, lauding the goalkeeper as one of their standout players this season.
Ramsdale has happy memories from facing Leicester. He was the star of the show at the King Power Stadium back in October, making a string of unbelievable saves as the Gunners picked up a big win.

And he was at it again in the reverse fixture on Sunday.
Arsenal had taken the lead through Thomas Partey. But it was Leicester who grew into the first-half. And they went on to ask some questions of the home side.

Marc Albrighton set Harvey Barnes up with a brilliant chance 10 minutes before the break. The attacking midfielder made great contact to head the ball towards the goal.
However, just when it appeared that Leicester may be about to equalise, Ramsdale got across to get a big hand on the header and send it away from goal.
The stop left Brendan Rodgers stunned on the touchline. And Richards was also full of plaudits for the England international at half-time. He noted that the save from Ramsdale was not an anomaly following his move to Arsenal in the summer either.
“It was an incredible save, it really was. Leicester were just starting to get into the game the last five or 10 minutes,” he told Sky Sports.
“His agility and the strong hand over the bar. And he has been excellent this season, he really has. He’s been one of their standout players.”
Ramsdale has been a revelation since joining Arsenal
When it comes to surprises of the season, few can surely compete with Ramsdale following his move to Arsenal. Many – including this particular writer – mocked the Gunners for parting with a big fee to sign Ramsdale.
At the time, the 23-year-old had suffered two relegations on the spin. And Arsenal had Bernd Leno already in the squad. So it appeared to have the potential to be a huge waste of money.
However, we have all been forced to eat the biggest slice of humble pie going. Ramsdale has been absolutely colossal throughout the campaign.
Mikel Arteta deserves massive credit for seeing the goalkeeper Ramsdale could be. But even he must surely be a bit surprised to see how well he has done since arriving at the Emirates.
