Micah Richards has given a glowing verdict on the ability of Leeds United’s Raphinha, stating plenty of clubs will be jealous he moved to Elland Road last summer.
Raphinha, who earns £28,000-a-week (TMW), has quickly established himself as one of the most eye-catching players to watch in the Premier League during just his first year in English football.
The 24-year-old is a left-footed winger that operates from the right cutting inside and he’s a nightmare for defences.
He’s got such close control, amazing work-rate and real technique with his final ball.
Leeds’ core group that earned promotion last year have raised their games to more than hold their own in Premier League, but adding summer signing Raphinha to the mix makes them a different proposition.
Pundit Richards has described the Brazilian wide man as a “next-level talent” and has been wowed by him this season.
“How many clubs will have watched Leeds this season and kicked themselves over Raphinha? He was everywhere during Tuesday’s win over Southampton,” Richards told the Daily Mail.
“What a signing he has turned out to be for £18 million — it’s one of the coups of the season.
Marcelo Bielsa has transformed a team of very good players and made them a genuine Premier League outfit, one that plays attractive and exciting football. But Raphinha adds star quality.
“He is 24 and has the potential to be a next-level talent.”

TBR’s View:
Raphinha fits the mould that Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa demands when it comes to wingers that track back and have a high work ethic.
The South American never shirks his defensive responsibilities, which makes it even more impressive that he turns it on whenever he has possession.
He’s got five goals and five assists so far in a Leeds shirt, but his performances deserve better and he’ the driving force that make others around him look better with his football brain.
