Micah Richards believes that Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish would thrive if he played at a top club.
The 24-year-old is looking to make a name for himself in the top-flight this campaign after earning promotion with boyhood club Villa last season.
He’s had a mixed start to the new campaign without fully hitting the dizzy heights he is capable of.
The attacking midfielder supplied a brilliant assist at the weekend for Wesley Moraes’ goal, but ultimately Dean Smith’s side ended up losing 3-2 away to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Grealish was the creative spark for the visitors and a lot of pressure on his shoulders to deliver, while teammate John McGinn is another to catch the eye with his early-season performances.
Ex-Villa defender Richards has argued that Grealish would perhaps be a better player at another club.
“Grealish has only just got into the Premier League now and he’s potentially in a struggling side. Put Grealish in a better side, watch how much he would flourish,” Richards told BBC Radio 5 live sport.

TBR’s View:
Grealish is clearly going to give it his all for Villa this season and they are going to be in a relegation fight by the looks of it.
But he is surely too good to drop back down to the Championship and it would be interesting to see what would happen with his future if they did suffer relegation.
The English playmaker can help drive his team forward though to stay in the division and could do with a first league goal of the season to get him going.
He is a big fish in a small pond as it stands, but it’s difficult to know if he can succeed at a higher level until he makes the plunge.
