Tottenham Hotspur have had a real rollercoaster of a season so far.
When Spurs field a strong XI and are firing on all cylinders, they can annihilate virtually anyone else on their day.
However, Tottenham’s lack of consistency, fuelled in part by an injury crisis at the back, has cost them dearly in a lot of games.
As things stand, Tottenham sit 11th in the table, eight points behind fifth-placed Newcastle United and 11 behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
Micah Richards and Gary Lineker have now predicted where Spurs will finish in the table and what they will achieve at the end of the season.

Micah Richards and Gary Lineker back Tottenham to seal European spot
Richards and Likener, speaking alongside Alan Shearer on The Rest is Football, acknowledged that Spurs have been beset by injuries, which has affected their results.
However, Richards is still positive about Tottenham’s hopes of a fruitful end of the season, backing them to “just” about make it into the European places.
Lineker agreed with Richards, though he claimed Spurs would need to have one of two key players back in order to get over the line.
“I think with Forest doing so well and Newcastle picking up form, Aston Villa picking up form as well, all those teams probably didn’t expect to be there,” said Richards.
“And we thought Spurs would be in that situation so yeah, probably just Europe maybe.
Lineker added: “I still think they’ll make Europe if as long as they can get one or two players back.
“You only need – like Newcastle, if you put three, four wins together you’d really jump at the moment because it’s quite tight, isn’t it, that pack behind the top four.”
All three had predicted at the start of the season that Tottenham would finish fifth in 2024/25.
The top four qualify for the Champions League, though there could potentially be a fifth place for the Premier League up for grabs.
The highest-placed team that doesn’t get Champions League gets Europa League football along with the FA Cup winner.
Meanwhile, the Carabao Cup winner qualifies for the Europa Conference league.
Richards makes positive Tottenham prediction
Richards also backed Tottenham to have a much better second half of the season by virtue of their young players having more experience.
“I think next season – or the next half of the first season – I think they’ll be better,” predicted Richards.
“Because even the younger players who are playing now are getting a little bit more experience.”
