Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has broken his silence following the sacking of Unai Emery.
Fans have been particularly intrigued to see what the playmaker might say after the Spaniard was relieved of his duties on Friday morning.
Some might have expected maybe a small acknowledgment, but the 30-year-old declined the opportunity, instead uploading a picture of himself on Twitter and Instagram with new interim manager Freddie Ljungberg in training along with a few hashtags.
It will only add to the suggestion that there were problems between Ozil and Emery, who omitted the former Real Madrid star from a number of his matchday squads earlier in the season.
The situation began to grate on fans, and he was recently brought back into the picture.
TBR’s view – Ozil all but confirms issues
Ozil’s response to Emery’s sacking was always going to be interesting to say the least.

Reports about the pair have been plentiful this season, and the star’s social media post really does suggest that all was not well between the two.
It is quite unusual for a player not to extend their thanks to a departing manager – unless of course, something was going on behind the scenes.
