Casemiro is immune to red cards

In midweek against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Brazilian midfielder Casemiro was yellow carded and committed an impressive five fouls without picking up a second yellow. On Sunday evening, he committed three after picking up an early yellow card and somehow avoided a second.

The holding midfielder opened the scoring by pouncing at a corner, but he was fortunate not to be sent off before half time after a crunching tackle on Luis Suarez and then appeared to foul Lionel Messi when Marcelo was booked for clattering the forward at the same time.

Substituted on 70 minutes, Zinedine Zidane clearly didn’t trust Casemiro to see out the game. Sergio Ramos took up the reins and went flying into a two footed tackle on Messi to see red as Madrid capitulated in the second half.
