Hay Liga!
There is league, as the Spanish say. There is so much league. Barcelona’s win at the Bernabeu now puts them back on top of La Liga, level on points with Real Madrid but with a better head to head record and a 14 goal advantage on goal difference.
Real Madrid must now win their game in hand against Celta Vigo, never an easy tie as Barcelona have learnt, and also face challenging fixtures against Sevilla and Valencia alongside a Champions League semi-final against their city rivals.
Barcelona on the other hand face two bottom half sides and will face their toughest challenge against Villarreal in May, a weekend after a Barcelona derby against Espanyol.
There are plenty of twists and turns ahead in the La Liga title race, but with this victory, Barcelona have kept the race alive and will seek to take advantage and see off Luis Enrique in the perfect way.
